Cooling Off!!!! July 2008

It has been a real hot summer this year. It has been so nice to have a bigger pool to help cool off in.

Isaac has loved swimming in the pool. He was a little apprehensive at first, but has grown to love it! He loves to get in the float and go on his own.

Joe watches him as Briezie is getting changed into her swim suit. Grama is about to get in but has to take pictures first!

Finally ~ the BIG DAY !!! July 19, 2008.

This picture is a lot better, Shane! They do make a cute couple. I have never seen Jaime look so happy! It is about time you guys made this official and legal! I hope you two have many more years of fun and happiness to come!

Shane and Jaime ~ Shane is such a goober! He is pretty funny though and a great guy. Any guy who has possession of 2 kids and does great with them after his first wife left him has to be pretty special. Jaime and Shane combined their little families together and love the results! Jaime has Keily who is 6, and Shane had Austin who is about 5 and Lexi who is 3 or 4. Together they had Reese who is a doll and almost 2. Shane is quite the clown!

Toward the left was a guy and girl from Cold Stone making ice cream at different flavor requests. Man was it good! Waiting for Jaime and Shane to cut the cake, and the Toasts. Renee and Joe, my youngest son. He thinks he is sooooo Badass!

Kathy's new back yard ~ the beginnign of a big project!

This was the beginning of the yard project. It started off with just getting the pool installed. This took them quite a bit of work and time. The pool came in sections. They first had to dig the hole and level out the ground and line the bottom of the ground with sand.

After they got the frame work up and together, they put the pool liner in. They used a vacuum to suck the air out and pull the liner tight. It is so cool, that the liner actually likes like real tile.

When Jaime decided to get married in Kathy and Andy's back yard, the project evolved into a monster! They put in a lot of work and worked even up to an hour before the wedding! The yard is fantastic! And I am quite envious as I work in my own mess of a yard!


Kathy talks with Sandy and Bryan about all the time and effort to get their yard in order. This yard is pretty huge!

This is looking at the back right from the house. This goes to the fire pit, sand box and pool. There is a trampoline inground behind the pool.

Great Grampa and Grama love to watch the kids. Jordan is fascinated by the glow stick. He had just previously rubbed noses with Grampa Great.
Isaac finally gets to the park. He loves to play with Pyper and Jordan. There aren't too many pics of him today as he is always running and playing. He turned 4 on July 11, 2008.

Baby Ashton does what he does best lately and sleeps through all the noise. 1 week old here.

Great Grampa Sykes is trying to get Jordan's new toy out of the box. It is a pretend movie camera. Jordan is anxious to get his hands on the cupcakes.

Renee brought Ashton home from the hospital on July 6, 2008. He lost a little weight, and was 4 1/2 pounds, but doing well.

He looks so tiny in his car seat like it is going to swallow him up!

I bought a bunch of Preemie outfits for Renee as she didn't have anything Ashton would be able to fit in yet. Even the preemie outfits are a bit big on him! I am sure he will grow into them soon. For being 3 1/2 weeks early, he is perfect and doing quite well. He tries to hold his head up already even!
